I am an experienced individual and couple’s therapist with over 20 years’ experience working therapeutically with people in a variety of settings, including voluntary agencies, the public sector and private practice.
My approach is warm, friendly and collaborative. I work alongside you, adapting sessions to meet your individual needs and drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
There are many reasons people seek therapy: perhaps you are struggling with relationship difficulties, feeling anxious or depressed, dealing with a significant life change, a relationship breakdown or a bereavement. Or perhaps experiences from your childhood continue to affect your wellbeing and relationships today. EMDR can help process distressing or traumatic experiences, while IFS offers a compassionate way of understanding and working with different parts of yourself that may be carrying pain, fear or protective patterns.
Whatever it is you are struggling with, I aim to provide a safe, confidential space where you can share and explore your thoughts and feelings, develop greater self-understanding, and move towards lasting change and wellbeing.
